Many of you have asked what "Raymi" means and we would like to share it's meaning with you. As you may know, Cece is from Lima, Peru and "Raymi" actually has a meaning for Peruvians and others in the Andean regions of South America. Raymi means "Event" or "Festival" in Quechua which is an indigenous language of the Andean region, spoken today by over 13 million people in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Northern Chile, Argentina and Southern Colombia. It was the official language of the Tawantinsuyu from the Incan Empire. The full translation for "Raymi" means dynamic, energetic event that draws large crowds. We are proud to take this ancient multi-cultural word and bring it to life in a new way through the execution of our dynamic, stylish and upscale events.
